The new generation iPhone the iPhone 3GS which was released somedays back flares the Speed tag in its name.
So lets see the changes in the new 3GS from the old 3G
Specifications:
The outer panel or hardware are the same in both the iPhones the old and the new.
As speculated there is no front camera which would have enabled the Video calling facility seen in many smart phones.
Camera:
- iPhone 3G: 2Mp
- iPhone 3GS: 3Mp
Apple giving a better Camera than the previous one is a welcome change maily for the Flickr Community which uses the iPhone more than any onther phone.
Video recording:
- iPhone 3G: No video recording facility.
- iPhone 3GS: Video recording with 30fps.
This is a good addition which will make the iPhone competitive with the other Smartphones which flaunt a Video Recordr
Wireless support:
- iPhone 3G: HSDPA with 3.2 Mbps
- iPhone 3GS: HSDPA with 7.2 Mbps
This is mainly useful as 7.2 Mbps is going to take over from the existing 3Mbps speed.
Battery:
iPhone 3G:

iPhone 3GS:
- Wifi - 9 hours
- Audio - 30 hours
- Video - 10 hours
The main advantage is with the battery which was sadi to be bad in the iPhone 3G, has been looked after this time.

The new i Phone 3GS is availble in the market for the common man from 17th June 2009 through the AT&T network providers, if you want to get your hands on the new 3GS before others you have to head to your nearest AT&T center as soon as possible as there are people who are already lined up outside the store.
