Samsung BADA OS

Samsung is now entering into the OS market after grasping quite a good share of the Mobile market. Recently Samsung has introduces its own OS which is said to be based on Linux and is made available in UK so that developers can make Applications on the new platform.
Samsung has named it "BADA OS" which means Ocean in Korean language.
And it is out for the developers to bring out some good internet apps out for the OS so that it can compete with the big guns in the segment like Apple OS and Android OS by google.
Samsung has to come up with an App store also following Apple and Nokia. Samsung which is the largest mobile phone company in numbers, surely has some big ideas to take over the market completely.
Most of Samsung's smartphones use Windows Mobile and the handset maker also launched one of the first Android-based phones.
Purpose of Samsung Bada OS in its own words:
More and more people want the rich and connected application-experiences that are currently only available for smartphone consumers. Samsung has developed bada to make these exclusive smartphone experiences available to everyone.

"Microsoft Office 2010 gives you powerful new tools to express your ideas, solve problems, and connect with people." Microsoft.com

The all new Microsoft 2010 which is waiting to be explored in its Beta version on Microsoft's official site.
The Microsoft company claims that Office 2010 will have the following benefits:
- Express your ideas more visually

- Deliver compelling presentations
- Manage large volumes of e-mail with ease
- Store and track all your ideas and notes in one place

I cant see any new benefits in this list, all this can be achieved in the last Office as well, many of these depend on the persons ability to use the Office and upto its potential.
When the full version is released we have to see wether we have any major changes, which will be much welcome.
The Office has been a boon for everyone right from a student to a high end professional to give presentations. I must say we should thank everyone involved in bringing it to us.

iTunes updated to 9.0.2
Apple once again updated iTunes by releasing its all new 9.0.2 version, this release comes soon after the updated version of Apple TV was announced.
I think Apple has released this iTunes version to cope with the new and updated Aplle TV.
Some of the features includes
- Enables users to choose a dark background for Grid View and improves accessibility.
- You will need the iTunes update in order to use all the new features in Apple TV.
So update to the new iTunes to enjoy the new and enhanced View and if you have purchased an Apple TV recently then you have update it compulsarily.
You can download the iTunes 9.0.2 here.
Palm Pre Updated – But doesnot Sync with iTunes
Palm released webOS 1.2 this week, which is the latest update for the Palm Pre the iPhone competitor.
Palm in its new update gives:
- Enabling access to the Amazon MP3 Store
- The ability to download files in the Web browser
- And filtering of e-mails by search
- You can now tap a phone number in a calendar note to dial it (so you can get to the joy of music-on-hold for your conference calls even faster!).
- Pause a podcast and, by default, you’ll pick up where you left off when you unpause
- Web pages and emails are now cut-and-paste-able.

All the inclusions are fine but what happened to the Palm and Apple fight ???
Has Palm given up its fight against Apple as the new upgrade Does not Sync the Palm Pre with iTunes 9.
Hope the new Palm Pixie will come with a new OS and it will be able to access iTunes.
Unlock released for Firmware 3.1 for iPhone 3G
Apple has upgraded its iPhone Firmware to 3.1 sometime back and for the people with Jailbroken iPhone 3G phones who accidentally upgraded their phones to the new Firmware 3.1 can unlock their phone using this Pwnage tool and Ultrasnow Softwares.
But can the Dev team be far behind, it has released Pwnagetool 3.1 only for Mac.
Careful not to use this on your iPhone 3GS as it does not unlock your 3GS it is useful only on the 3G.
Steps to a Successful Unlock:
- Upgrade your Apple iPhone 3G firmware to 3.1 OS.
- Then Download the PwanageTool 3.1 for Mac [Download Link]
- Connect your upgraded iPhone to your Mac
- Then follow the steps. (Almost the same steps as the previous versions)
Now is the most important part of the process, here you have to follow these steps carefully:
- Installation of Ultrasn0w completed.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Then go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings and the Phone Restarts.
- Then go to Airplane mode, switch it on and off once
- Then go to the main screen and wait for a couple of minutes and the signals would appear with your network name on the right to it.
And you can enjoy with your iPhone 3G with 3.1 Firmware unlocked.

Note: This is at your own risk.
iTunes 9 does not Sync Palm Pre
Apple released the iTunes 9 in its event conducted on 09-09-09, The event mainly was dedicated to Music "Its only Rock and Roll Event".

Then Apple released the updated version of iTunes as the iTunes9.
In the previous version where Palm had built its mobile in such a way that it was recognized in iTunes and was compatible with it, now Apple has countered Palm and this new version of iTunes does not accept Palm and Palm pre cannot be synced into it.
As the Apple vs Palm war continues there was a new announcement of Palm coming out with the younger brother of the Pre the "Palm Pixi"
Now we have to see if palm breaks the code and makes the Pixi syncable with iTunes or not ????
Learn to Add Lyrics to Songs in Your iTouch/ iPhone
Listening to songs without knowing the lyrics is a waste for me atleast, every song has a beautiful meaning behind it (leaving some, which are miserable).
Some songs are made for situations like love songs and the ones which touch our heart and relieve us of our misery when we are in pain(psychological pain) not physical pain i dont think there are songs which can relieve physical pain(for now atleast).
And this can be most useful when you are a singer and want to learn the lyrics by heart or a school girl/boy to show off in front of your friends that you know all the lyrics.
The already crowded eBook market is gonna see one more in the group but i think it is going to be a better one from the lot, with an Android platform OS and with an Mp3 player it is not gonna make you feel bored while reading.
