iPhone 3GS taken Apart

The all new iPhone 3GS which has been released recently haas already been taken apart and the changes which Apple has done internally ahs been exposed already.

The iPhone 3GS is seen with the same external hardware but has the changes well hidden in the hardware.

The caught up with the teardown of the iPhone 3GS here at the Rapidrepair.com and they have completed the tear down in 6 Steps.

Remove the Screws and Lift the LCD screen
Saperate the front half from the Back panel, and free the LCD module from the Frame.
Removal of the System Board with breakage of the warranty.
Removal of all the other smaller things like the headphone jack, vibrator module, GPS antenna, and SIM spring.
Remove the iPhone 3G S digitizer, ear piece speaker and home button.
The Tear down is complete.

Palm Pre Broken down to pieces

Palm Pre the hot new topic of the town was Disassembled by many people who got their hands on it right a way after its release in the Sprint counters.

The savage people who were hungry for some fresh meat were eagerly waiting like hungry lions in the line to get their hands on the “iPhone killer” and right after they get their claws into the phone and dissassemble the beauty.

Gizmodo: Gizmodo Disassembled the Palm Pre and estimated the cost of the Hardware to be around 170$ which seems a very competitive pricing at 199$ with a low profit margin, Palm is going to heights to compete with the iPhone.

Engadget: Engadget also tore the beauty down and estimated the cost of the palm at an accurate $170.02, which seems preety funny to get a 2 penny cost of some piece.

iFixit: iFixit which is good at these things is rather a it slow on their part and are still in the Teardown going half way into the process, they are in the 10th Step at present doing the “Disconnecting antennas and separating the case from the logic board and display”, so keep updated y visiting the site.

Although it has been almost an year (July 2008 – june 2009) since its release the iPhone teardown has been always in the news as many iPhone enthusiasts like mewho want to see what is there under this neatly dressed beautand learn somethings and self repair somethings which apple does not offer their services.

You can call it Disassembling (or) Teardown (or) opening an iPhone, or what ever you like.

The iPhoine 3G which does not have a battery panel like that in the 2nd Generation phone has a battery built in the panel.

The beauty had to stipped naked and the parts be exposed to see what this masterpiece was made up of and what makes it such a gadget.

Fixit.com which i recently came across have been doing their teardown thing from a long time on all the new gadgets coming into the market from time to time.

These people tore down the iPhone 3G in 29 steps including their great efforts in getting hold of the 3G firsthand in Newzeland from step n.o 1 to 7, from step number 11 we can see the actual opening up of the 3G.

I could make out that the iPhone is made of parts made by many companies like Philips screws, Samsung Processor , Toshiba flash,Intel flash, Marvel for the bluetooth and wifi.

On the whole i can say that there has been a good contribution from many companies in making this beauty with brains become reality.

Apple has made many changes to make the 3G easy for repair.
