iPhone OS 3.0 which is very much awaited and is renewed with all awesome features like Copy Paste text, Spotlight. . etc to name some is going to be out and available for the public in sometime on 17th June 2009 i.e today.

iPhone OS 3.0 software update is available for iPod touch at $9.95. While iTunes permits the transaction to go through and prompts the user to connect their iPod touch to check for updates, iTunes subsequently reports that iPhone OS 2.2.1 is still the current version and does not download iPhone OS 3.0.

This OS 3.0 is going to be released in some time and the whole world is awaiting its release.

The Software 3.0 OS is going to be available here at the Apple Website

The New features which are going to make your iPhone and iTouch experience even more refined and productful are:

Copy Paste Text:
Copy cut and paste from anywhere to any place but in your iPhone, this option helps us to copy, cut and paste many lines of content from app to app or from app to web or web to app or from notes to web. This will really help us in writing stuff offline and then posting them when ever we like to do it.

Copy Paste Photos:
This is another feature which is very much welcomed as we can easily upload the photos into the websites and also we can also post the photos in websites without much fuss. This also works across all the app to app or app to the web interfaces.

Landscape Keyboard:

Useful when you have fat fingers and find it difficult to type in the normal mode, TO get the landscape mode just rotate iPhone to landscape to use a larger keyboard in Mail, Messages, Notes, and Safari.

MMS:
Send MMS messages and include video, photos, audio, and contact info. The collest option is to “tap to snap a picture or shoot a video right inside Messages.”

Spotlight Search:
This is the best option in the new updates is what i think, the Spotlight search is similar to that of the one in Mac.
The Spotlight makes it easy to search from the whole of the contents of your iPhone where ever what ever you might have will come up in the results. Hope it is as powerful as that in the Mac.

Find my iPhone:

A feature using which one can login to MobileMe account and see where the iPhone is, in the Google Maps.

Voice Memos:
Capture a memo, a meeting, or any audio recording on the go. Voice Memos works with the built-in iPhone microphone or with the mic on your headset.

3G Tethering:
This feature will allow you to connect your iPhone 3G to a laptop, to use it as a modem to access the internet. Carriers still have to sign-off on it, and probably charge more for it. None have announced it yet.

Improved Calander:
“Create meetings via Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and subscribe to calendars with new CalDAV support.” This is what i read in Apple site and seriously saying i din understand a thing from it.

Improved stocks application:
The stocks application now allows you to read related news, so you can enjoy yourself learning about the latest market scandals, stock crashes, and executives getting bonus packages from government aid while their companies sink into hell.

Parental Controls:
Decide what music, videos, and apps your kids can access.

Shake to Shuffle:
Give iPhone a shake and it shuffles to a different song in your music library.

Sync Notes:
Never leave a note behind. Now you can sync all the notes you write on your iPhone back to your Mac or PC.

Anti-phishing:
Mobile Safari now can warn you against malicious sites trying to scam you.

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.
