Samsung is now entering into the OS market after grasping quite a good share of the Mobile market. Recently Samsung has introduces its own OS which is said to be based on Linux and is made available in UK so that developers can make Applications on the new platform.

Samsung has named it “BADA OS” which means Ocean in Korean language.

And it is out for the developers to bring out some good internet apps out for the OS so that it can compete with the big guns in the segment like Apple OS and Android OS by google.

Samsung has to come up with an App store also following Apple and Nokia. Samsung which is the largest mobile phone company in numbers, surely has some big ideas to take over the market completely.

Most of Samsung’s smartphones use Windows Mobile and the handset maker also launched one of the first Android-based phones.

Purpose of Samsung Bada OS in its own words:

More and more people want the rich and connected application-experiences that are currently only available for smartphone consumers. Samsung has developed bada to make these exclusive smartphone experiences available to everyone.
